![]() Also, I've made sure my external drives have been connected constantly, as Backblaze says it will discard those backups if they aren't around every few months (or something like that). In fact, my computer is telling me the opposite - everything's fine, go about your life. So there is a huge communication problem with the software if the base computer hasn't been "connected" for two years but there is NOTHING to indicate that on my computer. Not even the main computer drive - which the guy said shouldn't even be possible. When I started chatting with customer service, we checked the settings, and first thing we found is NONE of the drives were selected for backup. My computer is usually always on and connected to wifi. Also, I have done nothing to mess with the settings of the software, other than update the software when I am told to. ![]() The first 3 are filled and the 4th is still being added to, so I am at about 12-13TB of files. I am a photographer and the external drives are my photo archives, and don't change. To start with, I have a 1TB iMac and 4 external drives that are 4TB each. Second, there is no good solution that I was able to get from your support - and I am still at a loss for what to do after spending an hour trying to find what went wrong and how to fix this. First, Backblaze does not communicate properly with the user what is in fact happening - in my case it's the opposite. I see that people from the Backblaze company are in these forums, so I'd like to present the two problems I'm now finding. I check the Mac menu bar often enough, and see things that indicate my drives are being searched and that backups have been performed. In fact, I'm staring at the Backblaze panel right now and it says "you are backed up as of today" - just as it has for the last two years. ![]() I am not a tech expert, but I know software well enough and nothing from Backblaze would have indicated this. Naturally I found this alarming and strange. After signing into the website to check on something, I looked at my Overview page and it said my computer is missing and, in fact, no new files have been uploaded for 2 years. So I just discovered my Backblaze nightmare today. ![]()
